Privacy Policy
Summary
Launchlane helps B2B onboarding teams track customer onboarding in a shared workspace. To do that it needs an account, stores your workspace in our hosted database, and uses Apple for subscriptions. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Copilot and the Assistant run on your device; otherwise, where available and only with your permission, the relevant text is sent to an AI provider to generate an answer. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across apps.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address, and a password if you create one (our authentication provider stores only a one-way hash of it). You can sign in with a one-time email code, a password, Sign in with Apple or Google. With Apple or Google we receive your email address (with Apple this can be a private relay address) and, if you share it, your name.
- Onboarding answers (optional): your role, team size, how many customers you onboard, how you track onboarding today and your main goal — only the questions you answer. They're kept on your device and saved to your account when you sign in, to tailor Launchlane.
- Workspace content you enter: workspace names and membership (including teammates' email addresses and roles), customer names, onboarding types, milestones, blockers, evidence, interventions, outcomes and notes, including drafts of customer notes. If you share a customer progress link, updates your customer sends through it are saved to that customer's record.
- Subscription records from Apple: product, status, renewal and expiry dates, transaction identifiers and whether the purchase was made in Apple's test environment. Apple processes the payment; we never receive card details.
- Copilot and assistant usage: the time and type of each request, used to enforce usage limits.
- On your device: a cache of your workspace for offline use and your sign-in session in the iOS Keychain. If you turn on blocker reminders, they are scheduled as local notifications on your device.
We don't request contacts, location, photos, or microphone access, and this version includes no advertising, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
How we use it
To sign you in, control who can access each workspace, keep your devices in sync, verify your subscription, answer Copilot and assistant requests you make, tailor the app to your onboarding answers, and enforce usage limits.
Copilot and the in-app assistant (AI)
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Copilot and the Assistant tab run entirely on your device with Apple's on-device model: your workspace and questions never leave your phone. On other iPhones outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, they can use our cloud AI provider instead — they ask for your permission first, and you can withdraw it anytime in Settings → Copilot. They run only when you ask. Launchlane then sends the relevant workspace records — and the note or question you typed — to Google (Gemini API), to generate the answer. Before sending, Launchlane removes email addresses, phone numbers and text that looks like passwords, keys or card numbers. They only suggest: nothing they produce is saved, applied or sent until you review and confirm it. We use Google's free (unpaid) Gemini API tier: under its terms, Google may use these inputs and outputs to provide, improve and develop its products and machine-learning technologies, and people at Google may read them after Google disconnects them from our account. Please don't include personal or confidential information. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Launchlane never uses cloud AI; AI is available there only on-device. In Demo Mode the sample Copilot and assistant run on your device with fictional data; if you ask the Assistant something the sample can't answer, it's answered on-device with Apple Intelligence when available, or otherwise — after you agree — only that question is sent to the support assistant (below).
Support assistant
The Help & Support assistant (in the app and on our support website) answers questions about Launchlane from its help content, plus general onboarding and customer-success questions. In the app, outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, it asks before you start, and the messages you type are sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), to generate answers (free tier, used by Google as described above) — email addresses, phone numbers and credential-like text are removed first. On our support website, and in the app in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland, answers come from our help articles without AI. Launchlane does not store the conversation. To prevent abuse we keep a one-way hash of your network address and the time of each request for up to 24 hours. If you choose to email us, we receive your email and anything you include.
Prepared work, Slack and Calendar
Launchlane prepares work for you: it drafts a follow-up when a blocker has been open 2 or 5 days, reads replies your customers send through a progress link and proposes what they mean (still blocked, a new reason, resolved, or needs your review), and flags blockers open well past your team's usual time to clear one. Drafting and reading use the same AI as Copilot — on your device with Apple Intelligence, otherwise the cloud AI provider under the same permission and region rules above — and email addresses, phone numbers and credential-like text are removed first. Without AI, a template or simple rules are used. Nothing is sent or changed until you confirm.
When you confirm, edit or dismiss a prepared item, we record the kind of item, a short label for what was proposed and your decision — never the message text — so teammates don't see it again and we can improve the suggestions. Prepared items are also cached on your device and cleared when you sign out.
Slack (optional): if a workspace owner or admin connects a Slack incoming webhook in Settings → Integrations, Launchlane posts to that Slack channel: a daily summary (customer names, blocker titles, how long they've been open, and which customers replied — not what they said), and an escalation when someone taps Post to Slack. Launchlane never posts customer messages, notes, emails or contact details. The webhook address is stored on our servers and never shown in the app again. Slack's handling of the posts is covered by your organization's agreement with Slack. Disconnect anytime in Settings → Integrations.
Calendar (optional): if you turn on Calendar in Settings → Integrations, Launchlane reads event titles and times from the calendars on your device to show calls whose title names one of your customers. This happens only on your device: calendar data is never uploaded, and Launchlane can't create or change events. You can turn it off in Settings → Integrations or in the iOS Settings app.
Service providers
- Supabase — hosting, authentication, database and server functions.
- Apple — App Store billing and subscription management.
- Google (Gemini API) — cloud AI processing, only when you use Copilot or an assistant on an iPhone without Apple Intelligence, outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
- Apple and Google — sign-in, only if you choose Sign in with Apple or Google.
We share data with these providers only to run Launchlane, and each is bound by terms that require it to protect your data with the same or equal protection as described in this policy.
Sharing
Members of a workspace can see that workspace's content and each other's email addresses and roles. If you create a customer progress link, anyone who has the link can see that customer's name, your workspace name, the goal, milestone progress and the current blocker — not emails or internal notes — and can send your team an update. Launchlane records when a progress link was last opened, so your team can see whether the customer has looked at it; it doesn't record who opened it. To prevent abuse, a one-way hash of the visitor's network address is kept for up to 24 hours, as for the support assistant. Turn a link off anytime with Stop sharing; creating a new link replaces the old one. If an owner or admin connects Slack, the summaries and escalations described above are posted to your team's Slack channel. We don't sell personal data or customer content. We may disclose information if required by law.
Customer notes are drafts
Launchlane can help you draft a note to a customer. Drafts are labelled for human review and are never sent by the app — Launchlane has no messaging capability. Anything you send, you send yourself with your own tools.
Retention and deletion
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account, after confirming with a fresh code (or your password). This permanently deletes your login and account data, any workspace where you are the only member (with all of its records and subscription link), and your Copilot usage records, then clears this device.
- Shared workspaces are kept for their remaining members; records you created stay in the workspace without your account attached. If you own a workspace that has other members, ownership must be transferred before your account can be deleted — contact launchlaneapp@gmail.com until in-app transfer is available.
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Demo data can be reset at any time in Settings.
- Backups are kept for a limited period for disaster recovery and are then deleted.
Security
Access is enforced on the server by row-level security, and subscriptions are verified with Apple on the server. Sessions are stored in the iOS Keychain and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is risk-free; use a device passcode and keep iOS up to date.
Children
Launchlane is a business tool for adults and is not directed to children.
International users
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where the providers above operate. We rely on their contractual safeguards when data is transferred across borders.
Changes
If we change the app in a way that affects privacy, we'll update this policy and its effective date before that version is released.
